Frequently Asked Questions
What is PRP? (Platelet rich Plasma)
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Often called the “vampire facial,” PRP is spun in a centrifuge to separate plasma rich in platelets and growth factors. When applied during microneedling, it boosts healing, improves tone and texture, and gives the skin a refreshed, radiant look.
What is PRF? (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin): A newer, more natural version of PRP. PRF is spun at a lower speed, preserving more white blood cells, stem cells, and a fibrin matrix. It releases growth factors more slowly, allowing for longer-lasting skin rejuvenation. It’s ideal for those looking for enhanced healing, firmer skin, and deeper collagen stimulation.
Microneedling with PRP vs. PRF – What’s the Difference?
Both PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) are advanced regenerative treatments that use your own blood to stimulate collagen, accelerate healing, and improve skin quality when paired with microneedling.
Both are great options, PRP offers fast glow and texture improvement, while PRF provides more sustained regenerative effects over time.
What are intra-dermal injections of PRP?
Intra-dermal injections of PRP into facial areas like under eye circles, marionette lines, jaw line, nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines and cheeks to create a natural filler. PRP will help support collagen and elastin production to reduce visible signs of aging. Usually paired with microneedling and exosomes.
What is microneedling?
A collagen-boosting treatment that smooths fine lines, improves skin texture, and stimulates hair growth. Perfect for facial rejuvenation or scalp stimulation. Add-on options: Hair and face exosomes and package deal of three sessions at a discounted price.
Why is microneedling used for hair loss?
Microneedling for the hair and scalp is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural healing response, increases blood flow to the follicles, and boosts the absorption of topical growth serums such as PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) or exosomes.
Can you restore damaged hair?
Microneedling can help restore thinning or damaged hair by stimulating follicles and boosting scalp circulation.
Who is a good candidate?
Men and women experiencing early to moderate hair thinning, reduced hair density, or weakened hair quality. It is most effective for those with active follicles and is not suitable for completely bald areas.
How many treatments will I need?
For optimal results, most clients need a series of 4–6 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 4–6 months.
Does microneedling hurt?
A topical numbing solution is applied before treatment to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild pressure or a prickling feeling.
Is there downtime after microneedling?
You may experience mild redness, scalp sensitivity, or pinpoint bleeding for 24–48 hours. Most people resume normal activities the same day, avoiding hair washing and excessive sweating for 24 hours.
Can I combine microneedling with PRP or other treatments?
Yes pairing microneedling with PRP/PRF or growth factor serums significantly enhances results by delivering regenerative nutrients directly into the scalp.
When will I see results?
Results vary, but many clients notice improved hair texture and reduced shedding within 1–3 months, with visible new growth after 4–6 months.
Are there side effects or risks?
Side effects are rare when performed by a trained professional, but may include temporary redness, tenderness, or swelling. Infections are very uncommon when proper sterile technique is followed.
How long do results last?
Results can last 1 year or longer with proper maintenance, healthy scalp care, and follow-up treatments.
What aftercare is required?
Avoid washing your hair for 24 hours.
Skip hair products, hats, or heavy sweating for 24 hours.
Use a gentle shampoo and avoid harsh chemicals for several days.
Follow any post-care product plan recommended by your provider.
What are Exosomes and why are they important?
-
Exosomes are tiny messengers naturally released by cells that deliver growth signals, helping repair and rejuvenate skin and hair.

Why Use Exosomes with Microneedling?
Exosomes are usually applied immediately after microneedling (Most Common & Effective):
-
Exosomes are applied directly post-treatment when microchannels are open
-
Exosomes enhances penetration and maximizes regenerative benefits
-
Helps reduce redness, inflammation, and speeds up healing
-
Exosomes boosts collagen stimulation and skin recovery
-
At home application complements results using pre and post exosome balms. Exosomes support results between sessions but aren’t as potent without the microchannel delivery.
How many sessions of exosomes is recommended?
Most clients benefit from 1–3 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance treatments every 3–6 months can help sustain results.
Are exosomes safe?
Exosomes are safe, sterile and lab tested. Exosomes are a customized regenerative treatment.
